a) Acquired illnesses and their after-effects manifested before the policy coverage came into force, even if a correct diagnosis had not been established.
b) Congenital anomalies, disabilities, physical or mental disabilities or imperfections already in existence before the policy came into force. The consequences or after-effects of accidents that occurred before the policy came into force are not covered either.
c) Mental illnesses, behavioral and nervous disorders. Regular medical examinations, check-ups and stays in spas or sanatoriums.
d) Reconstructive or plastic surgery, except in the case of necessary operations as a consequence of an accident occurring during the life of the policy and for the purpose of repairing damages. Nor will the policy cover weight loss programs, sterilization of either sex, in vitro fertility or artificial insemination treatments.
e) Alcoholism, drug addiction, and their treatment or rest cures, AIDS and/or diseases caused by the human immunodeficiency virus (HIV).
f) Prostheses of any kind as well anatomical orthopedic pieces. The following are covered: heart valves, pacemakers, hip prostheses, vascular by-pass prostheses, internal traumatology prostheses.
g) Hemodialysis. Peritoneal dialysis. The insurer will pay for treatment in special hemodialysis and peritoneal dialysis units for a one year period following the Insurer’s first treatment.
h) Participation of the insured in bets, challenges or fights, except, with regard to the latter, in case of legitimate defense or efforts to save people or property. Suicide attempts and self-harm are also excluded.
i) Radiation of any type, especially resulting from atomic nucleus modification, except when due to medical treatment.
j) War, invasion, hostilities (with or without declaration of war), as well as those due to forces of nature such as earthquakes, hurricanes, volcanic eruptions and any other extraordinary or catastrophic phenomena.
k) Officially declared epidemics.
l) Abortion and voluntary interruption of pregnancy, as well as, its consequences and after-effects.

Characteristics of the Corporate Indemnity Health Insurance Plan:
- Type of surgery included: Any and all, apart from some exceptions*
- Age range: From 1 to 60 years old
- Reimbursement schedule: 90% reimbursement of hospitalization costs, if the patient is admitted for a surgical intervention.
- Insured: Any citizen of the world.
- Territory: Surgery to be performed in a hospital located in Spain.
- Waiting Period: Six months
- Coverage (Insured sum):
- Up to 60.000 € (approx. $82,000) for hospital expenses / professionals
- Up to 10.000 € (approx. $13,700) for intensive care unit (ICU) expenses
- Optional coverage:
- Travel expenses: Up to 3.000 € (approx. $4,100, without deductible)
Note: For prearranged hospital and treatment fees that are less or equal to 10.000 € (approx. $13,700) the maximum travel expenses coverage is 1.000 € (approx. $1,400). For prearranged hospital and treatment fees that are more than 10.000 € (approx. $13,700) the maximum travel expenses coverage is 3.000 € (approx. $4,100).
- Travel expenses: Up to 3.000 € (approx. $4,100, without deductible)
- Hospital cash daily allowance: 200 € (approx. $270) from third day of hospital stay until the 365th day
